Q: Is hotel pickup offered?
A: Hotel pickup is not offered – Here’s why: Generally speaking, hotel pickup can include taking you to 15-20 different hotels before taking you to the tour start location. Metro Atlanta is huge. From most hotels you can get door-to-door service via a taxi, Uber or Marta to the Peachtree Center Mall in less than 15 minutes. We encourage you to arrive at the pickup point a minimum of 20 minutes before departure.
Q: Where do we meet? How do I get to the Mall at Peachtree Center? Where should I park?
A: To get to us from Downtown, Midtown, Buckhead, the Perimeter, the airport, etc you can take Marta to Peachtree Center Marta Station. Once you exit the subway, follow the signs to The Mall at Peachtree Center. Meet the group leader in a yellow Atlanta Sightseeing Bus Tour t-shirt in the seating area at the "North "Food Court in front of the Chick-Fil-A. Parking is also available behind The Mall at Peachtree Center between Peachtree Center Ave NE and Courtland St NE. The Mall at Peachtree Center is located at 231 Peachtree St NE in Downtown Atlanta.
Q: Where does the Daily Tour begin and end?
A: The Mall at Peachtree Center (231 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30303) is located in Downtown Atlanta inside the Peachtree Center Complex above the Peachtree Center MARTA Station. The "mall" is inside the building so do not look for the typical "suburban" mall.
Q: Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
Due to rugged sidewalks and portions of the Beltline Walking Tour which are only accessible by stairs the walking portion of this tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Q: How much walking is involved?
A: The Beltline Walking Tour portion of the tour is approximately 1 mile at a moderate pace. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Portions of the pathway are rugged and are only accessible by stairs only so this portion of the tour is not wheelchair accessible. Pregnant women, elderly persons and people who have medical concerns or trouble getting around should carefully consider their ability to travel this distance with the group. Additionally, some children under 3 may find the length of the walk challenging. Generally our stops that require the most walking are the Beltline Walking Tour and the MLK Memorial Site.
Q: Is a reservation required for this tour?
A: Reservation is required for this tour. To place you reservation please visit www.atlsightseeingtours.net.
Q: What is the age limit for kids pricing?
A: Adult: $69
Children 3 – 12: $59
Infants under 2 years old may ride for free if they ride in their parent’s lap during the tour. If you feel you would be more comfortable having a seat for your infant, please purchase a child’s ticket.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Comfortable, laid-back attire is recommended. We also recommend you wearing a hat during the summer and a jacket in the winter. Consider wearing comfortable walking shoes for the walking portion of the tour.
Q: Can you promise an exact return time?
A: Due to the potential for unforeseen traffic delays, road construction, traffic accidents, etc within the city, we cannot guarantee an exact return time. However, every attempt is made to remain on schedule and to return you back to Downtown Atlanta at the planned time. Should you have a special concern regarding your return time, please advise us upon making your reservation and reiterate this need with your driver on the day of the tour.
Q: What will happen if it rain?
A: The Atlanta City Tour is offered rain or shine. Tours are only canceled in the event of extreme weather conditions and every attempt will be made to contact you in advance if a tour is canceled. The buses are covered, making tours in the rain possible and unlikely canceled. Umbrellas are suggested for walking in the rain from the bus to the attractions.
Q: How much time do you spend at each attraction?
A: As you can expect, some landmarks are more time-consuming than others, such as lunch at CNN or walking the Beltline. With this in mind, there is no set time for each attraction. Our Tour Guides are trained to watch how the tour group progresses at each landmark and adjust the tour accordingly. Keep in mind; we still have a lot of sightseeing to do in 5 hours, so we do like to keep the tour moving.
Q: Do we get out of the shuttle at every attraction?
A: No. We only get out of the shuttle at MLK Memorial Site, CNN and the Beltline.
Q: What types of vehicles are used?
A: We use a 26 passenger shuttle with large windows and plenty of space with reclining seats. Depending on demand and/or our service schedule, we reserve the right to substitute vehicles.
Q: What additional expenses should we expect?
A: You should plan on paying for lunch at the CNN Center if you are hungry.
Q: Will I receive my tickets in the mail?
A: No. We employ an easy-to-use ticketless reservation system. Your name is your tour ticket. Thus, there is no reason to deal with the hassles of tickets and mail.
Q: How do I book my Atlanta Sightseeing Bus Tour?
Q: Can I bring my baby stroller on board? How about luggage?
A: No because we do not know ahead of time if the tour will sell out.
Q: Can I bring my wheelchair on board?
A: Yes but please let us know at in advance (at least two weeks) so we can provide room for your wheelchair or we can reserve a wheelchair accessible shuttle if one is available. Remember the walking portion of this tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Q: Are tips included?
A: No. Your Driver and Tour Guide are service personnel similar to waiters in restaurants. If you received superior service, your driver and Tour Guide will greatly be thankful for any gratuities you give them. A good rule of thumb is 15%.
